About Us

Daniel Johnson
Founder and Owner

johnsonbio2Daniel Johnson is a native of Medford, Massachusetts and has been following wrestling for as long as he can remember. He started The Johnson Transcript in March 2012 to draw attention to some of the best and worst wrestling out there. He reads and edits each piece posted on The Johnson Transcript and is always looking for new ways to make the website hot and spicy. Despite coming off as a smark sometimes his favorite wrestler of all time is Hulk Hogan. Previously, Daniel was cheated out of money when he earned a Master of Science degree from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. Aside from wrestling Daniel enjoys endlessly dissecting film and television, reading George Orwell and playing the occasional board game. He can be e-mailed at dcj2112@columbia.edu and followed on Twitter @dcjohnson86.

Kyle Childers
Staff Writer

childersbioKyle Childers is living proof that Wyoming is an actual place and not a creation of the media. He enjoys looking at the funnier side of wrestling and has been inspired by the comedy lists of Cracked.com. He firmly believes that wrestling promotions should have a strong midcard and feuds that accomplish something. Aside from The Johnson Transcript, Kyle also writes for the Freakin’ Awesome Network. When not critiquing wrestling he enjoys booking his own promotions in the wonderful game that is EWR. Plus, he is a self-described bad movie connoisseur and expert love maker that sometimes goes by the name Hawkeye Jefferson. He can be followed on Twitter @hawkjefferson.

Alex Knapp
Staff Writer

alexknappAlex Knapp currently lives in his birthplace, Minneapolis, Minnesota, but grew up in the Chicago area. He is a lifelong fan of pro wrestling and video games, as well as anime, movies, and comic books, so you can probably imagine what a riot he is at parties. Alex became a wrestling fan the instant he saw Hulk Hogan on TV when he was a wee lad, and grew up at the perfect time to be a child of The Monday Night Wars. He’s also lived in Tokyo, Japan for a total of seven years of his life, and, while he doesn’t want to brag, he was there live to see NJPW’s Wrestling Observer award-winning King of Pro Wrestling event at the Ryogoku Kokugikan in 2012, among other great live puroresu. He is currently earning his Master’s in Human Resources at the University of Minnesota, and is psyched to be on the Johnson Transcript to talk about two of the things he enjoys most.

Former Staff

Jeremy Cundiff
Staff Writer

cundiffbioMadman Szalinski, known as Jeremy Cundiff to the government and his parents, is a former fifteen year veteran of e-fedding as well as a two year veteran of doing jobs, being stretched and training for a career in the pro wrestling ring that just didn’t happen. While most people would remain bitter for missing out on a chance to live their dream, Madman is content verbally ripping apart other wrestlers who waste their shots—and praising those who do not. While Madman claims to have intricate knowledge of booking procedures and an overall mind for the business, don’t let him fool you—he doesn’t know any more about it than you do. If you can’t resist the urge to flame the douchebag after reading some of his cynical yet optimistic work, feel free to do so via Twitter at @autotunemypenis and wait patiently for the pathetic response.

Anthony Nagle
Staff Writer

naglebioAnthony Nagle, known by some as Bad Booking, lives in Orange County, New York. He works full-time in a warehouse, and in the fracas, is a full-time wrestling fan. He goes to as many indie shows as he can, and watches WWE on a weekly basis. He founded his mothership blog, Bad Booking’s Blogs, in 2011 to help cure depression from a long stretch of unemployment. He is humble to share his views amongst a talented crop of writers, and wishes for nothing but the best for this site.
