There are a few reasons I wanted to post this match. First, Chris Hero was my favorite independent wrestler from 2007 until the time WWE snatched him up. Second, Go Shiozaki was given a WWE tryout match three months after this match took place. Here he looks pretty impressive, but for whatever reason WWE decided to pass on him. It makes me wonder how they will eventually handle Hero or as he is now known as, Kassius Ohno. Lastly, NOAH, the company this match took place in is now facing trouble as according to f4wonline.com their ties to the Yakuza, essentially the Japanese Mafia, were recently revealed. This is the same thing that helped to bring down PRIDE, a much larger MMA company.
Anyway, as for the match itself there are a lot of hard chops that really make you wince. Also, look out for Go’s super kick/spinning lariat combo. Absolutely devastating!
