Frequency full shows are added: Yeah right.

Total views of the most popular video: 10,398

Back in 2009 the creatively named, Independent Pro Wrestling (IPW) had a couple of shows (possibly their only shows) in Brantford, Ontario, Canada. Three videos were uploaded from IPW Breakdown in Brantford and one video was added from IPW March Mayhem. The videos are nearly the definition of bare bones. There is no commentary and the only onscreen graphics have the same care put into them as IPW’s official website, which despite being inactive for years somehow survives much like the website for Space Jam. Worst of all for some godforsaken reason two of the videos are shot in profile. I repeat. A pro wrestling match! Shot in  profile! Also, some matches are not even complete. On the bright side IPW featured some credible talent like Canadian journeyman Kwan Chang, American journeyman Pepper Parks and HC Loc who is billed as an ECW original on the channel. Luckily that same month a superior YouTube channel launched to showcase theses stars and other action around the Brantford area.

A recommended clip:

Primo Scardino vs. EZE

Although this match was shot in profile (again what was that IPW cameraman thinking?) the battle between Primo Scardino and EZE is quite funny. Sometimes unintentionally and sometimes on purpose.

The clip begins with Scardino coming out to some festive Italian music then the entrance is cut and the footage jumps to the theme song from The Sopranos. With Italian flag in hand it is not obvious that Scardino is the heel yet, but then patriotic EZE comes out waving the old maple leaf. The two then start aggressively waving their flags because when I think of rival countries I think of Italy and Canada.

These two take their time locking up and before the match really gets going the hecklers let into Scardino for wearing a t-shirt. He is urged to take it off and then criticized once he does for having a bit of a gut. Also, around this time a “chicken alfredo” chant breaks out.

As for the moves of this match EZE gets some reactions for some of his strikes and especially his dropkicks. Meanwhile, Scardino plays the classic heel foil by slowing down the match with submissions. As the match winds down EZE climbs to the top rope. However, the venue for IPW Breakdown in Brantford had a low ceiling. So a heckler yells at EZE, “Watch your head!” EZE then nearly hits the roof (literally) and on top of that misses his diving headbutt. If the IPW creative team booked that spot as it played out intentionally then the greatest minds in wrestling today are hiding somewhere in Brantford.
