Here are the facts about RCW’s YouTube channel:

Number of videos: 438

Frequency new videos are added: This has varied tremendously since the channel was first launched, but usually at least three or four videos appear each month.

Frequency full shows are added: Full episodes of RCW on Estrella TV began being uploaded in May 2014. Some episodes were uploaded the same day or within a day of each other. However, RCW has cooled off on this recently with no new episodes added since June 1.

Total views of the most popular video: 316,543

The folks at the San Antonio, Texas based RCW uploaded their first YouTube video on October 15, 2009 with a modest plug for a sponsor. Since then the channel has had well over one million views and over one thousand subscribers. With the diverse talent and content on the channel it is easy to see why. Plenty of recognizable names appear on the channel for brief appearances like Tammy Lynn Sitch, D-Von Dudley and Funaki. Heck, even WCW’s Gorgeous George makes a call-in appearance. Some of the more heavily promoted local talent include Michael Faith, Nard and Joey Spector. The channel also features former TNA talent Hernandez as a regular performer. In addition to full matches the channel also has 15 full episodes of RCW on Estrella TV. Plus, more weird bits, promos and vignettes than you can shake a stick at. I’m talking really weird stuff. Production quality tends to be among the best you’ll see from independent promotions at RCW’s level. Clear picture and audio is featured on the channel and clips have commentary and onscreen graphics. You may stumble upon the odd clip with strange editing choices and different audio sources creating a jarring effect, but clips with this problem are in the minority.

A recommended clip:

Team RCW vs. Submission Squad

This clip begins with the Submission Squad consisting of Evan Gelistico, Pierre Abernathy, Gary Jay and Davey Vega coming out and disrespecting RCW promoter, Brandon Oliver and the RCW crowd. At one point the group, which has appeared in a slew of indies, tells the RCW fans that they’re wasting their lives by drinking them away, which for some reason gets a chant. Eventually, a challenge is issued and the match is set for the four present members of the Submission Squad to take on the best RCW has to offer.

The video cuts to later in the night where Team RCW is revealed to be Christian Valenz, Joey Spector, Sammy Guevara and Hernandez. The Submission Squad jumps the RCW heros, who in this match regardless of their regular roles in RCW are the de facto faces, and in particular stomp on Hernandez. Unfortunately for Gelistico, Hernandez is not the only one to face overwhelming odds. Soon Gelistico is left by himself to face Valenz, Spector and Guevara who tear him apart.

Before all is said and done there is a wild spot where Valenz, Spector and Guevara all dive from the ring to outside onto the Submission Squad sans Jay who is left in the ring with Hernandez. Jay takes a border toss from the ring to the floor, but does not stay down. Back inside Guevara goes up top, but messes up and gets small packaged by Jay.
