Roughly 15 years into his career Dragon Kid has wrestled all over Japan and made a great impression on the United States’ independent scene. Despite WWE rarely showing interest in cruiserweights it is surprising they never took a real interest in Dragon Kid. After all Rey Mysterio needs a successor since I keep reading that his knees are made out of dust these days. Oh well, I guess that’s what Sin Cara is for.

The belt shown at the end is the NWA Welterweight Championship held by such greats as Blue Demon, The Great Sasuke and Dragon Kid’s mentor Ultimo Dragon. This bout took place right after Dragon Kid won it and he would eventually lose it to SUWA in a match that put him out of action for about eight months.
