Tabarnak de Team vs. “Mr. Wrestling” Kevin Steen and Franky the Mobster
This week’s installment of ISW Free Match Monday borrows a match from fellow Canadian promotion, C4 Wrestling and features Tabarnak de Team consisting of Mathieu St. Jacques and Thomas Dubois taking on “Mr. Wrestling” Kevin Steen and Franky the Mobster at Crossing the Line 5. This was when Steen was red hot as he simultaneously held the ROH World Championship and the PWG World Championship.
The match is a wild brawl and only gets in the ring after a few minutes of fighting on the outside. Dubois even knocks down one of the merchandise people accidentally after he bounces off of a table when Franky slams his head onto it. Steen and Franky deal out the majority of the punishment though Steen does get cut off from Franky at one point and is double teamed. During this part of the match Tabarnak de Team hit a sick double spinebuster on Steen. When Franky gets the hot tag he unloads with some clotheslines and some other moves thrown in for good measure. Yet, the all star duo of Steen and Franky end up losing as in the chaos of all four men being in the ring when Franky gets rolled up with a schoolboy.
Tabarnak de Team will be competing for ISW next month against the team of Gran Akuma and Jigsaw at the company’s long awaited Burger King of the Ring II: Double Whopper. The most up to date information on the tournament can be found here.
