There is just a little over a week left before voting ends on August 31 at 1:00 p.m., but time is running out even quicker for people who want to enter to win a free Blu-ray of OMG! Volume 2: The Top 50 Incidents in WCW History released by WWE! To enter just vote for The Johnson Transcript Surging Star Award aka The Crown J here and e-mail me at dcj2112@columbia.edu with a one sentence e-mail saying who you voted for and why. Contest ends August 23, 2014 at 4:00p p.m.

*Alex Knapp will debut on The Johnson Transcript tomorrow. Alex will be writing a column for the site called, Wrestling Game StArcade, which will be all about wrestling video games. Look out for a new piece every other Friday starting with a review tomorrow. What will Alex be reviewing? Well, there is only one way to find out! Come back tomorrow!
*Jeremy Cundiff aka Madman Szalinski has returned to the site for a new limited series titled, 5 Alternate Realities of Pro Wrestling…That Almost Happened. The name is pretty self-explanatory, but if you’d like more info just check out the first part in the series.
*Speaking of returns last week saw the return of the WWE Pay-Per-View Roundtable. I, for one, had a blast doing it and since there will be more names popping up here in the near future anyway look for this to be a continuing series on the site from here on out.
