Hudson Envy is a 24 year-old wrestler originally from Wichita Falls, Kansas. Recently she deputed in Japan’s Stardom promotion where she has already wrestled the likes of Io Shirai, Sendai Sachiko, and Mayu Iwatani, who are some other great young female wrestlers worth checking out. Prior to this Envy wrestled a lot around southern California, which included displaying her skills at Santino Bros. Wrestling (SBW).
On the September 26, 2014 SBW Showcase, Envy wrestled Willie Mack in an intergender match. Although we are far removed from the days of Andy Kaufman some of the offense Envy puts in will make you think differently. After all Kaufman got his ass kicked. A lot.
The match starts with a handshake, but Willie Mack wastes no time in achieving a take down from behind then moving into a front face lock. There is a bunch of mat wrestling for a while, but Mack shacks things up with a nifty twirling slam.
When Envy gets in some offense she delivers some stiff looking strikes including an absolutely vicious knee to Mack’s face. Since CM Punk doesn’t wrestle any more perhaps Envy can claim an old catchphrase of his. Mack comes back with some strikes of his own and focuses on Envy’s left leg, which she sells beautifully.
Envy scores a scorpion death drop after some failed kicks to the corner. As the match goes into its last segment Mack delivers a suplex.
The real highlight of this bout is the closing sequence. Mack executes a stiff sounding kick to Envy’s left leg, but Envy comes back with a kick to Mack’s face, a gutbuster, and an enziguri. All of this only results in a two count. Mack comes back with a Samoan drop, kip up, and a standing moonsault to win the bout.
