BATTLEWAR is something of a sister promotion to ISW. Both companies are based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and both use a lot of the same wrestlers. As such the BATTLEWAR YouTube channel features some top Canadian performers (or at least the ones who live near Montreal and don’t mind getting silly). Some of the bigger names who have popped up on this channel include Kevin Steen, El Generico and Super Smash Bros. Also, Giant Tiger! There is a whole slew of Giant Tiger videos including this one which features Tiger simultaneously hyping up a match and watching a Christmas special. The videos are about the quality of ISW’s videos, which is to say pretty decent. However, matches do not include the same crass, yet hilarious commentary ISW offers. The channel has been around for over a year, but the folks at BATTLEWAR only started adding full matches fairly recently. Hopefully, this trend continues.

A recommended clip:

Green Phantom vs. Sexxxy Eddy

Prior to the match Sexxxy Eddy harasses a female fan, but still gets his name chanted by other women at ringside later on. Green Phantom smacks Eddy’s rump to begin before positioning him in a ring corner for a chopfest. Phantom taunts Eddy throughout by saying things like, “How about I just break his neck for good measure?” This match from BATTLEWAR Outdoor Bash appropriately enough ends up on the outside of the ring after Eddy planchas onto Phantom.

On the outside Eddy positions Phantom on a plastic chair and also hits him with a pipe. Soon enough though Phantom wallops Eddy and says to one heckler, “That was fake wrestling right there.” Eddy catches Phantom off guard and grabs Phantom’s nuts for an uncomfortably long amount of time. This is about all the offense Eddy gets in at this point and soon thereafter Phantom is bragging about how he is going to break Eddy’s neck again and works it over.

Phantom brings a table into the ring at the request of the fans, but ends up taking a frogsplash through it. Still, Phantom can laugh last in this match as he Irish whips Eddy into a piece of table then plants him on the mat for a three count. Now, Phantom can brag about breaking Eddy’s neck all he wants.
