Matthew Palmer vs. Jewells Malone
Beyond Wrestling Tournament for Tomorrow II brought Matthew Palmer and Jewells Malone together for this qualifying match. However, despite debuting for Beyond Wrestling in the exact same match in November 2013 they came from considerably different backgrounds.
Palmer has been wrestling since 2008 and has most often appeared for Anarchy Championship Wrestling (ACW) in Texas. From January to May 2011, Palmer even held the company’s top prize, the ACW Heavyweight Championship beating Robert Evans then losing the title to Davey Vega.
The Canadian Malone had less experience than Palmer debuting in 2011, but even then had worked for a variety of promotions already. By the time she got to Beyond Wrestling she had already debuted for Women Superstars Uncensored (WSU). AT WSU, Malone has wrestled against a good mix of opponents including Athena, Barbi Hayden and even Matt Tremont in an intergender tag team match.
Malone works Palmer’s arm a bunch early on then hits him with a headscissors takedown. Meanwhile Palmer looks more concerned with posing than wrestling his opponent. Although after a while Palmer gets tired of being dominated by the smaller Malone and runs at her. Palmer flies over the top rope after missing a charge for a nice bump. Malone misses a clothesline from the apron to floor then gets thrown into a wall by Palmer.
In the closing sequence of this match Malone and Palmer trade blows when Palmer suddenly delivers his snapmare driver finisher.
